PRENATAL MORPHOGENESIS OF THE CERVIX UTERI

Abstract:

The development of cervix uteri is characterized by the complexity of morphogenetic transformations in prenatal ontogenesis and mechanisms of the regulation of its functions. The epitheliocytes - derivatives of the urogenital sinus - are concentrated in the contact zone of two genetically dissimilar types of epithelium. The theoretical generalizations and a new solution to the actual problem of the chronological sequence of morphogenesis in the intrauterine period of human development are presented. The obtained data can be used in solving of the problems of the formation of transitional sections of morphologically and genetically different epithelium of cervix uteri in prenatal human ontogenesis and the existence of genetically determined prerequisites for the development of benign and malignant diseases of the cervix during the embryogenesis.
