THE STATE OF EPITHELIUM AND MUCOUS-FORMATTION IN PATIENTS WITH ATROPHIC GASTRITIS

Abstract:

We analyzed gastric in 168 patients. It was established that morphometric fossae depth and height of surface and foveolar epithelium indices in patients with atrophic gastritis and non-atrophic gastritis did not vary. Patients with ІІ, ІІІ and IV stages of atrophy (according to OLGA system) had the level of glycoprotein 0,037±0,004 mg/ml, 0,031±0,007 mg/ml and 0,029±0,007 mg/ml accordingly, which is much less than in patients with non-atrophic gastritis - 0,068±0,003 mg/ml. Patients with ІІІ – IV stages of atrophy showed significant reduction of hexosamines and fucosa in comparison with patients with non-atrophic gastritis.
