Annotation 88 pre- and post operated patients with signs of abdominal sepsis, who had an average starting point of estimation of state severity accoding to the APACHE-II scale have been examined as to the oxygen delivery and consumption changes depending on the composition of infusion therapy with the help of different groups of modern plasma substitutes. The usage of colloid solutions has turned out to have advantage over the usage of cryslalloids only. Anvantage belonged to the derivatives of starch hydroxal, the introducrion of which provided the largest ammount of cases of reliable improvement of oxygen exchange indices.
