The experimental study of the effect of the aqueous extract, 30% and 50% of tinctures of fresh fruit Feijoa sellowiana Berg. on the synthetic function of the thyroid gland was carried out. The experiments were conducted in the intact rat on the model "goiter reaction." Thyroid properties of the investigated objects were studied at doses of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 ml per animal. The studies have proved a powerful thyroid-stimulating effect of the aqueous extract, 30% and 50% of tinctures of fresh fruit Feijoa. It is found that thyroid-stimulating effect on the synthetic function of the thyroid gland of 50% tincture of Feijoa fruit showed a more pronounced thyroid-stimulating effect than the aqueous extract and 30% tincture. Thus, the experimental data suggest about the viability and feasibility of further research to develop drugs with thyroid-stimulating activity. |
