    HISTOLOGICAL STRUCTURE OF MID-SHAFT ZONE OF HUMERUS IN RATS AFTER 2-MONTH SODIUM BENZOATE INTAKE

    Annotation 175 adult male rats with initial body weight of 200-210 grams were split into five groups as follows: the first group comprised intact animals (the controls) the second and the third groups comprised the animals that received intragastric sodium benzoate in dosage of 500 and 1000 mg per kg of body weight as 1 ml of solution for 60 days (SB1 and SB2 groups), and the fourth and the fifth groups comprised the animals that received sodium benzoate in the same fashion and injections of mexidol in dosage of 50 mg per kg of body weight (SB1M and SB2M groups).
