Annotation In experiments on 45 male Wistar rats it was established that in 30 min from the moment of corazol administration made at early stage of corazol kindling development (12 corazol injections in a dosage of 30,0 mg/kg, i.p.) under conditions of levetiracetam (LVR) (80,0 mg/kg, i.p.) and nicotinamide (50,0 mg/kg, i.p.) injection the net reduction of the delta bandwidth power in left hemisphere (by 17,5%) as well as in paleocerebellar cortex (V-VII lobules) (by 24,7%) have been seen. The lowering of alpha-bandwidth power was also registered during this period of time – by 15,6% in the left hemisphere and by 13,8% in the right hemisphere, while the reduction in cerebellar cortex was confined to 18,3%. The increase of the beta-1 bandwidth power (by 13,2%) along with the gamma bandwidth power (by 12,7%) was also registered. The reduction of the duration and frequency of spike-wave (SW) complexes was induced by LVR and nicotinamide: in 60 min their duration was reduced by 22,0% (P<0,05) – up to 3,9+0,4 s, while frequency was reduced by 40,3% (P<0,05) – up to 2,27+0,31 per min. The amplitude of discharges was reduced up to 150-600 mcV (from 450-1500 mcV in control observation). The conclusion was made that LVR and nicotinamde caused powerful antiabsence action.
