    THE ROLE OF GROUP SUPERVISOR IN PREVENTION AND CORRECTION OF XENOPHOBIA AMONG STUDENTS OF HIGHER MEDICAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

    Annotation Politicization of issues of language, ethnic / national differences are often used by the parties and unions as part of the toolkit to "increase" their own electoral ratings among the population of Ukraine. Retranslation of xenophobic ideas occurs in particular through media and social networks. In addition, on a sustained basis, essentially unimpeded access to such material on the Internet stays on the pages of organizations and associations that promote racist and xenophobic views. The current political situation in Ukraine further promotes xenophobia. Particularly radical is youth. Aggravation of national and religious contexts of identity among young people leads to exacerbation of interpersonal relationships among students, and as a result, racism and xenophobia. Applying in their work humanistic educational technologies, group supervisors can significantly affect the formation of a unified corporate culture of the institution; provide psychological and pedagogical conditions for creating a comfortable humanitarian environment as a key component of the social situation of the individual modern specialist development.To implement one of the main tasks of universities in this situation - the formation of intellectual and professional elite, education of specialists with humanity guidelines, socially responsible, active citizens there is a need to improve the system of prevention and correction of intolerant and extremist tendencies.We asked 100 freshmen majoring in "General Medicine "to complete the questionnaire "Determination of susceptibility to racism and xenophobia". After a year of studying the same students again completed the questionnaire "Determination of susceptibility to racism and xenophobia."We have discovered a significant increase of parameters of neutral attitude towards people of other nationalities among students at 29 ± 0,58% (r≤0,05) after a year of intensive psychological and pedagogical work of students with the group supervisor, which has a significant impact on the formation of students' personality, interpersonal relationships, and outlook. High reliable indicators of changes in one year preventive measures can also be explained by the possible presence of hidden forms of xenophobia, which are still possible to eradicate.Currently, these conflicting issues are very serious, so now and in the near future the latent xenophobia may increase among university students. So, it is critically important for group supervisors to conduct preventive work with students.
