The authors of the study 52 patients with MS have established that they were suffering from cognitive disorders in a decrease MMSE, mild dementia, and memory disorders. Cognitive function is impaired in correlation with electrophysiological impaired cognitive evoked potentials and activity of autoimmune processes. The authors suggest that autoimmune processes damaging the membrane structure of nerve cells in MS patients because resynchronization of activity of different parts of the brain that creates the preconditions for the development of cognitive impairment. |
