Annotation The aim was to study differences in the action of zinc (as its sulphate) on sexual behavior and of spermogram of male rats with different sexual activity. Material and methods. The aqueous solution of zinc sulfate was administered to animals of oral at a dose of 3.8 mg/kg body weight. The drug is was administered every day in a volume of 1 ml for 21 days. To three experimental groups: 1) males with high levels of sexual activity; 2) animals with low levels of sexual activity; 3) inactive males. Each group of rats, in turn, was divided into 2 groups: intact and those that received a solution of zinc sulphate. We studied sexual behavior of males and determining the the state of of spermatogenesis concentration, mobility and the percentage of pathological forms. Results. In animals with high levels of sexual activity after administration of zinc sulfate observed a twofold increase in the number of pathological forms of of spermatozoa (17.6 ± 2.6 vs 30.6 ± 4.5 (p <0.05)) by increasing cell pathology of the head. The percentage of motile sperm forms decreased by 32 %. While rats in other groups of the drug Zinc all parameters have resulted in a deterioration or improvement in of spermogram (regarding its control). In the study of sexual behavior most revealing results were obtained in the study of sexually inactive males have been observed increased activity of the central and peripheral parts of the regulation of sexual behavior. Thus, the introduction of zinc sulfate males studied for the test does not ejaculation, and some of them (over 37 %) did not show any reaction regarding sexual females. After the introduction of Zinc during the test was registered ejaculation in 57 % of test animals. Also, the number of test intromisiy in males compared with controls for the test was reliably higher (130 %). At the same time the activity "сaring" behavior in rats that received study drug, fell. There was a slight decrease in the number of males to females approximation but statistically significant reduction in latency period intromisiy, coating females and ejaculations per test. Moreover, the observed increase in the number intromisiy to ejaculation. Conclusions. Zinc affects the different components of sexual behavior and had to depend on the initial sexual activity of animals. Correction decreased sexual state of zinc a positive effect on sexual behavior that can serve as justification for his appointment to patients with reproductive disorders with decreased libido. And most importantly, the nature of of spermogram is not dependent on the sexual behavior of male rats.
