Annotation | Study of the coronary artery disease course suggests that along with proatherogenic changes in the blood lipid composition in patients with coronary artery disease, an increase in the C-reactive protein (CRP) concentration and proinflammatory cytokines (TNF-α) was observed in comparison with the control group. Characterized by the patterns of the correlations existing between the degree of increase in the level of CRP and ESR, particularly in patients with ACS (r = 0.48, p <0.01). The degree of increase in von Willebrand factor was revealed in the group of patients with fatal and nonfatal myocardial infarction, which was significantly higher than in the group of patients with uncomplicated CHD. An increase in the CRP level was not inferior in frequency to dyslipidemia and was observed in the majority of CHD patients (65.3%). Correlations between the severity of extracranial artery remodeling and the content of TNF-α (r = 0.30, <0.05) and a less pronounced connection with the concentration of interleukins (IL-6) (r = 0.25, p <0.05) were determined. |
