    Annotation Experimentally studied the formation rate of resistance of Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria and fungi of the genus Candida to the chitosan with different molecular weights. When thirtyfold culturing microorganisms in media containing increasing concentrations of test substances was set slow development of resistance to them. The results suggest the possibility of using chitosan as an antimicrobial component for making nanocomposite materials for biomedical applications.
